The SFF has put together a very special program adapted to the new measures to safely enjoy Spanish film and culture. <\/p>\n

Discover a carefully chosen selection of films from different genres that shows the fascinating diversity of Spanish cinema in all its richness! From captivating thrillers and action films to entertaining comedies, moving dramas and documentaries, this selection will once again demonstrate the dynamism and creativity of Spanish cinema today. <\/p>\n

The full program of the Spanish Film Festival has been announced. Ticket sales have also started through the websites of participating Amsterdam cinemas. <\/p>\n

Highlights<\/h3>\n

Fresh new voices such as Bel\u00e9n Funes, Isabel Lamberti, Pilar Palomero, Leticia Dolera, Luc\u00eda Alemany, Paula Cons & Nuria Gim\u00e9nez will shape the program that is mainly led and represented by women! This 6th edition stands out by highlighting and encouraging female talent. Coincidentally, this program consists of 80% films directed by women. <\/p>\n

This year, our Spanish Cinema Without Fear section meets the Netherlands! Spanish and Dutch cinema join forces in this intercultural exchange. This section meets the Netherlands with a very special showcase focused on Spanish and Dutch co-productions that defy tradition and have the courage to experiment. They enter the periphery of the Spanish film industry and cross the boundaries of the traditional narrative. The filmmakers in this category who are based in the Netherlands will join us at the festival to present their work and bring additional background and insight to our screenings. <\/p>\n

We are also very proud to announce that full program are almost all Dutch premieres! Most of the films we are bringing are new titles straight from screenings at the San Sebastian International Film Festival and the 2020 Malaga Spanish Film Festival. <\/p>\n
